First Locally-Produced Car, Prim8 Is Closer To A Release Date

Last year, It was reported that South Africa will soon have its own locally produced car and with the reveal of the first mode, the Prime8, The Mureza Auto Company is one step closer to releasing the car to the public.

What makes this car company different is that it plans to use more human labour as opposed to robots which how most cars are made. The abundance of affordable labour in Africa makes this possible with plans to hire thousands of employees to produce cars.

A blogger who goes by Black Capitalist posted this story on Facebook shedding more light on this ambitious project.

“Meet Thulisa Sosibo, Tetenda Mungofa, and Phaledi Chiloane, the brains behind SADCS first car, the Mureza Primo 8, their company Mureza auto plans to build affordable cars in Africa, for Africans _ full production of the vehicle are scheduled for next year in Gauteng.”

Earlier, It was reported that Africa is throwing its hat into the motor industry in a big way and Mzansi is here for it.

IOL reports that fledgling company Mureza is bringing affordable cars to the continent, vehicles for Africans made by Africans.

The start-up is based in South Africa, where manufacturing is set to take place. The first prototype for Prim8 – a crossover hatchback – is expected to be on display this week already.

BusinessLIVE reports that this first model is set to path the way for a half-tonne bakkie, sedan and compact SUV.

A one-tonne bakkie range is on the cards for future projects. In other news, the popular boss-employee duo, Malcolm Wentzel and Thembi marked a remarkable milestone this week.

Malcolm Wentzel, @WentzelMalcolm, took to Twitter to share some great news, he bought Thembi Ubisi a car after giving her driving lessons.

Mzansi loved the gesture and flooded the post with likes and comments, with a lot of people saying that Malcolm deserves to keep some land for his good deeds. Some had accused Michale of exploiting
